About Us
Two Doctors Aquaponics was founded by Dr. Lim Jia Yang and Dr. Wang Fei Fan with the shared mission of promoting health and wellness through sustainable farming practices.
Dr. Lim, passionate about aquaponics since 2015, has been exploring ways to grow plants using fish, leading to the development of micro-farms in Singapore.
Dr. Wang, an ENT specialist, believes that wellness extends beyond physical health and includes mental well-being.
Together, they created a platform to educate people about aquaponics and provide artisanal, eco-friendly products to support a healthier lifestyle
What is Aquaponics?
Aquaponics is basically hydroponics together with aquaculture; fish produce waste, which beneficial bacteria convert into nutrients for plants. The plants then absorb these nutrients while cleaning the water, which is cycled back to the fish tank, creating an eco-friendly, closed-loop system. This method minimizes waste, conserves water, and promotes healthy growth for both plants and fish.
It saves 90% water as compared to traditional farming and there is no need to add in nutrients as compared to hydroponics!
