Two Doctors Aquaponics began with a simple observation from the clinic - that true wellness needs more than medicine. It needs connection: to food, to nature, and to each other.
Dr. Lim Jia Yang, a general practitioner, has been refining aquaponics and micro-farming solutions for Singapore homes since 2015 - turning a personal passion for closed-loop growing systems into practical designs that fit even the smallest of spaces. In 2019 he was awarded the OCBC Environment Care Fund to build a micro-farm at the Medical Alumni Complex.
Dr. Wang Fei Fan, an ENT specialist, brings a clinician's perspective to the farm - championing the belief that "wellness extends beyond physical health to include mental well-being." For Dr. Wang, time spent growing, harvesting and learning outdoors is itself a form of care.
Together, they founded Two Doctors Aquaponics to bring the science of sustainable farming and the practice of holistic wellness to schools, families and homes across Singapore.
Closed-loop systems that recirculate their own water and work with nature, not against it - every design choice starts here.
We see growing food as part of a bigger picture - physical health, mental well-being, and community connection.
From classrooms to kitchens, we believe people remember what they build with their own hands.
Every enquiry is met by people who genuinely care about your goals - not a call centre.
Our systems and programmes are designed for the long run - durable materials, clear guidance, ongoing support.
Designed for our climate, our spaces and our communities - and aligned with Singapore's 2035 food-security goals to grow more food locally, using up to 90% less water than soil farming.
Each of our projects is uniquely designed and built by us - tailored for aesthetics, productivity and the smartest use of space. Here's a sample of what we've brought to life (and what you might tour or visit).
Curious to see one of these in person? Come on a farm tour, or have us design and build something similar for your own space. Either way, get in touch - we'd love to show you around.
"Our students were completely engaged for the whole session - they're still talking about feeding the fish weeks later! A wonderfully run enrichment programme."
You will be messaging the people who actually run the farm. Ask about a visit, a session for your school, or a build for your own space.
