Why Choose TDA Courses

Real systems. Real science. Real fun.

Every course is led by our founding doctors and farm educators, blending science, sustainability and hands-on skill-building โ€” no two sessions feel the same because every group gets a tailored experience.

Live aquaponics systems

Students observe and help maintain real fish-and-plant ecosystems, not diagrams in a textbook.

Vermicomposting & soil science

Get hands-on with compost worms and learn how waste becomes nutrient-rich soil.

STEM-aligned takeaways

Lessons connect to biology, chemistry and sustainability syllabi โ€” perfect for learning journeys.

Doctor-led education

Programmes are designed and often led by our two founding doctors, blending medical and farming expertise.

Build-your-own mini systems

Participants assemble and take home mini aquaponics or compost set-ups from select sessions.

Flexible group sizes

From small family groups to full classroom cohorts โ€” we tailor pacing and activities to fit.

A typical session, from start to "can we come again?"

  • 1. Welcome & orientation โ€” meet the team, get a safety briefing, and learn what aquaponics is all about.
  • 2. Guided system walkthrough โ€” see how fish waste becomes plant food in a live closed-loop system.
  • 3. Hands-on activity โ€” feed the fish, plant seedlings, handle compost worms, or assemble a mini system.
  • 4. Reflection & takeaways โ€” a short recap connecting what participants did to bigger ideas about sustainability and health.
